So, I decided to wait a few days and have my return to blogging coincide with #musicmonday (which is a popular Twitter topic on Mondays).  While not MMORPG, game industry or community related in anyway, music is a important part of my life.  So, it will be featured here from time to time as well.  At the very least, each Monday.

Each time I picked a band to write about this week, I kept thinking of why I should pick a different band to lead off with.  So, I decided to go another route and not go with a single band.  Instead, I am going with what I guess one could call a niche subject.  That being cover/tribute bands.  I am taking it one further though as well.  Right after the break we will be talking today about my favorite all female tribute bands.

I don’t remember exactly how, but many moons ago I was either directed to or stumbled upon (I really do not remember which) an all female tribute to AC/DC.  There actually are good handful of these around.  The one I had found though I still believe is the best of the group.  That being the band, Hells Bells.

These women have it all.  The power, the energy, great vocal ability and Adrian Conner running around on stage shirtless.  Check out the Back in Black vid below for proof.

Next up we have The Iron Maidens.  I stumbled upon these girls while searching for an all female tribute to Kiss.  While not finding what I set out for (at least nothing good), The Iron Maidens very pleasantly made up for it.  They have no less than 3 albums out and they are worth getting for any Maiden fan out there.  There is quite a bit of live stuff available on Youtube for these women, but most of it is with sub par sound quality.   So, I have chosen their Number of the Beast video to display here.  The rest or worth a watch, but start with this one so you get a idea of the quality you will get on their albums.

Third up is Girls Girls Girls.  Yes, an all female tribute to Motley Crue.  Although they are not still together, they are sure worth a mention.  If only because my hometown girl (Nikita Seis) on the bass is the hotness.  She also started an all female tribute to Ratt at the end of 2009 called Body Talk.  Will be keeping an eye out for them.

Last but certainly not least is a tribute to the might Led Zeppelin.  Lez Zeppelin being the name of this band.  While I never got to see Led Zeppelin, I really think Lez Zeppelin may be worth sitting/standing through.  The one album I have by Lez is always a pleasure to hear.

Does anyone out there have a favorite all female tribute band that I should know about?  Leave me a comment if you do.
