Gameindustry.biz is reporting that The Associated Press veteran Matt Slagle is the new Public Relations Manager for Sony Online Entertainment.

Matt will be working directly with the Austin based SOE studio which is currently developing the new DC Universe Online MMORPG.  Read the full story here.

Despite many people saying that micro transactions/RMT have no place in the western market, the business model keeps finding supporters and finical backers.  Such is the case of IGG who sent me the following press release today (well, yesterday now).

Is there really any question as to if a big name (IE: WoW or EQ II) MMORPG will try this on a “test” server?  Or is it now just a question of when?  As seen in my 2008 predictions post, I am going with the latter over the former.
